Every generation builds a leash for Christ — a version of Him that endorses what we already wanted, blesses what we already built, and never says a word that costs us anything. The Domesticated Christ is about the King who will not wear it.

It’s a critique of church culture written from inside the church, with the doors open: the ways we’ve traded awe for affinity and a Lion for a mascot — and what it would mean to meet the untamed Christ of the Gospels again, on His terms instead of ours.

It’s a book for anyone who suspects the Christ they’ve been handed is smaller than the One in the text — and wants the real One badly enough to lose the leash.
